Another New Magic: The Gathering Event!

I'm very pleased to announce the start of a brand-new event for L.A. Mood Magic Players: Sunday Afternoon Legacy Pauper!

Legacy Pauper is a format designed for players who are sick of trying to get four copies of the latest and greatest and most expensive Mythic Rares out there. Your 60-card deck (and 15-card sideboard) must contain Common cards and only Common cards - and better yet, Common cards from all of Magic's sets are allowed!

Legacy Pauper Decks are built just the same as any other 60-card deck with a 15-card sideboard; four copies of any card maximum, with the exception of basic lands. Pauper is a great format for players with every size collection - since we all usually have more commons than we know what to do with. A full explanation of the Pauper format (plus the banlist) can be found here: http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/resources.aspx?x=magic/rules/pauper.

If you don't know if a card is a common or not (since many older cards were printed before the red/gold/silver/black rarity symbols), a quick check in Gatherer (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Default.aspx) will tell you if it was ever a Common at any point in its history.

Sunday Afternoon Pauper runs every Sunday, starting January the 9th, at 12:30 p.m., and runs alongside our Elder Dragon Highlander Events - you can participate in either every Sunday. FNM Prize foils available to the top placements and the more participation, the more prizes there will be!

As always, e-mail questions and comments to lamoodmagic@gmail.com
